Has anyone ever found out why it was withdrawn? Was it just that a different direction for the werewolf (the one seen in DoM)?

It was because C7/Sophisticated games did not have a licence to produce PDF only products (it was thought they they fell into a group that was covered by someone else's licence) and had to be withdrawn. C7/SG can only provide PDF copies of printed material.

Thanks, I imagine that there's some minimum run requirement for the print copies such that they couldn't print a couple hundred for GenCon one year and then put it up on DriveThru... Oh, well

But the link points to a print-book though, right?

It pains me to not have a full library!

There's no sign of it now and as far as I know the package was not a print book.

I suspect that the link was an oversight and had not been removed after C7 had to withdraw it.

You might find someone who has a copy from a demo game at Gencon and is prepared to let you have it for a price if you must have it.

It was a print book. My personal guess is that they don't need to have convention adventures checked by Middle Earth Enterprises, but they do need them to be checked if they want to publish them, and it wasn't cost effective.

What pains me is that if the title is any indication I would have enjoyed this one a lot.

I know, I know! This thread died a death... but...

Did we ever catch sight of the Wood-Witch and the Wolf-King in the Darkening of Mirkwood book? I've never read it page to page, getting there.
I'm going over my old files regarding the Tales of Years (in light of expanding it as far as I can as a helpful guide to play order) and remembered this one.

Was this adventure ever published before being retired?

No. Not in any official sense although I can't remember if it ever got run at Gencon or anything.
