Hi Paul,
Halbarad wrote:I just noticed that there is no mention of Londaroth in either the general descriptions of the regions of Dale or the places of interest. I think that it's existence as an urban centre means that it deserves a mention in one of those two locations.
That's covered off in C7 books so I just listed it in the population centres rather than describing it, in the same way that I haven't described Lake Town or the Celduin Village.
Halbarad wrote:Also, I noticed that you haven't highlighted the Redwater valley as a separate region. It has just been tagged on at the end of the Uppet Vales. The Redwater valley deserves it's own sub heading IMO. :)
Easy to amend, done.

Unless I'm mistaken isn't it covered in the Marsh Bell? Or am I getting that mixed up with something else?

EDIT - from wiki:

Only a small trading station, two mills, and an inn remain to serve the merchants who must portage their wares over the Falls of Celduin. A market once flourished here, but it has moved up the Long Lake to Esgaroth. Population between 50 and 100.

That particular reference comes, I think, from Merp.

It's also described in the Marsh Bell though isn't it? When travelling south the PCs stay the night with the river folk that dwell there to portage boats up and down the stairs of Girion. It's just a little hamlet of bearers.

I suppose that you could flag that up as Londaroth. It doesn't have a name as such but, the problem is that you have it noted as an important urban centre rather than the little cluster of huts that is described in the Marsh Bell.
I had named the ruined city in the Marsh Bell as Londaroth. Perhaps it might be again, before the War of the Ring and once the Dwellers have been disposed of?

IIRC, the MERP/LOTR supplement River Running covers Londaroth. It's their invention & not from Tolkien, however, so it's anyone's guess how to run with it.

You both discuss developing the village from The Marsh Bell, which is probably correct & the direction that Francesco went while writing it. I don't think the place would expand greatly by the time of the game, though.

Ah, no, those aren't 'important urban centres', they are just 'urban centres' that need supporting by the rural population so they are listed there for that reason.

That's an interesting idea.

... Just a little update, but I'm very busy with other things this week so doubt that the final version of this will be released for at least a week or so, and then the map will follow after.
