Release schedule 2014 - correct?
Re: Release schedule 2014 - correct?
Will the companion (possibly all future books?) be released as a pdf for preorderers?
I think it's a great program. These books are so beautiful that having just the pdf is really a stopgap, but it helps! The paper quality and thickness is gorgeous.

That's the model that C7 follow. The preorder comes up and when you buy it through their website the PDF is sent out to you asap.snapeye wrote:Will the companion (possibly all future books?) be released as a pdf for preorderer.

I know it has been said elsewhere on these forums, but many local game stores participate in I believe it's called "Bits and Mortar". Where if you pre-order the item in-store, you will also be sent the PDF.
For my FLGS, I had to do it in a slightly different manner. My store sent me a copy of the receipt, and I forwarded it to C7, and they sent me a download link.
Regardless, it's a great program that allows people to get a glimpse of the books before print.

That's certainly true for Leisure Games (in the UK) and C7 products, including TOR.edwardp wrote:I know it has been said elsewhere on these forums, but many local game stores participate in I believe it's called "Bits and Mortar". However...
FLGS' generally don't offer pre-order as early as Cubicle 7 do if you order direct from their webstore. You get the pre-order (and by virtue, the PDF) many weeks before it's offered for preorder in an gamestore - whether they are part of the bits and mortar setup or not. At least that's as far as my experience of it goes and it's why, where I can, I order direct from C7.

One thing I'd add regarding the 'send in a receipt and get the pdf' thing. It only works if you've paid close to cover price for the book. Buying from Amazon doesn't get you a 'free' pdf so if you want the pdf get the whole thing from C7.

... And even more importantly, directly support the guys that make the game rather than the middle men.Hermes Serpent wrote:One thing I'd add regarding the 'send in a receipt and get the pdf' thing. You guys don't want to read another "Keep an eye on the website for the latest news" do you? Fair enough it has been a little while, and I've been so busy on TOR I haven't been able to post as much as I'd like, recently.
We will always post updates about TOR as soon as we have them, and are allowed to share them. Those who have kept a close eye on us over the years will note we pretty much never respond with new information to threads asking for it. It's just not how we are able to work with TOR, and even if we could wouldn't be a smart way to get information out there - you'd have already read the news on the website if it was available.
Keep an eye on the website. We'll have some exciting developments to share as soon as we're able.
Your enthusiasm is very much appreciated though!
