Gorgol's list

Post by Fridokind Wargaug » Sun Nov 02, 2014 5:41 pm

So Gorgol has this list behind the throne of Gundabad. Have you ever wondered who was on it? Thorin, Dain and Beorn. But who else?

I would think maybe Elladan and Elrohir and maybe Balin for he fought in the war of Dwarves and Orcs. Who else? Gandalf? Hartfast as a represantative of man who deal with orcs everyday?

What do you think?

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Are you talking about Gorgol the Butcher, the Orc who slew Barahir? Or are you referring to someone else? Either way, what is this list you speak of?

Gorgol, son of Bolg; from Heart of the Wild. He has a list of nine names behind his throne, listing those who he feels must die to assure him supremacy amongst the orcs.

It is, of course, up to each LM to populate this list... any of the Fellowship's patrons should definitely be on the list, of course. Maybe Radgul (of Mount Gram, found in Rivendell) is on the list too... it would be interesting to have an orc-on-orc war break out and have the heroes have to deal with the side effects of that.
Jacob Rodgers, occasional nitwit.

Thank you for explaining. But yes, I agree they purposely left if open so you can put people who might be important to the campaign.

True. But I was wondering who you put/would put on your list.

I would think Gandalf, Thranduil, and Bard would likely be on the list. The Lord of Eagles, Elrond, Elladan, Elrohir, and Balin are also possible.

... Would be lots of fun to put a PC name on there too, if possible.

The heroes find the list... "Hey! Why is *my* name on this?!"

Ha!

Yeah, it's a little unlikely, unless you've got some heroes with high Standing or important lineages. But still fun, even if it's just a rumour... "You're on the list!"

... All true, but it does seem like a missed opportunity not doing that.

"Look Thogrim, you're on this list here; with Dain, Beorn, Bard, Gandalf, ... and yer mum!"
