That sounds like quite an excellent idea! I shall be on the listen out...Rich H wrote:I'm just about to have a call with Garrett (aka 'barefoottourguide' here) on Skype for his podcast and will see how quick he is going to edit and release it. If it will be within the week then I'll leave the info with him rather than post it here - that way he gets the 'exclusive' and it's motivation for us all to listen to his work! Hope that's okay.

Excellent! I would love to see it.bluejay wrote:My game was an original adventure of my own using pre-gens and set in Eastern Eriador. I might dress it all up and post it online at some point.

... Not part of the podcast, because it is more of a visual thing and the stuff Garrett does is just sound, but I bought Jon Hodgson's TOR sketchbook circa 2010/11! It's full of pencil art, in various stages of completion - some doodles, others of prelim sketches of finished pieces we see in the books, and others of things never used. Can't quite believe I have such a unique piece of gaming history. Totally chuffed to bits about it.

You have found a Wondrous artefact indeed! Now, you must discover the nature of its Blessing and let us know how it helps you the most. My guess would be Inspire; by simply looking upon the sketchbook's beauty, the will of the bearer is renewed to full strength. Congratulations to you!Rich H wrote:...I bought Jon Hodgson's TOR sketchbook circa 2010/11! Re: Dragonmeet, UK (Sat 6th December)
I was at DM last weekend and managed (despite the best efforts of the convention organisation) to get in a game of TOR. To be fair they're listening to feedback and keen to sort out the shennanigans this year in order to make things better next year.
Thanks to Nigel for running - he did a good job of rules explaining to n00bs and (mostly) put up with my monkeyshines. Could have done with more from the scenario myself, but then I'm picky. The amount of Gandalf runes the LM rolled was hilarious. Well, we thought so. He didn't. It has reignited my desire to run some more at conventions though, so 7 Hills in Sheffield or one of that sort of convention might get lucky as I reprise some Tolkien-flavoured tomfooleries in thier direction.
Good to see the guys at the stand too with Dom and Kenners in good spirits.
One thing I heard mentioned a couple of times is people looking for things to buy as a player - so looking forward to seeing some action in that direction from C7 in the new year maybe?
If you can get to DM for the day its good fun and there's a really diverse bunch of people go (roleplayers, LARPs, Freeformers, Laser Taggers, Indie types, Minis gamers, etc.).

Re: Dragonmeet, UK (Sat 6th December)
I've thought the same thing. In a perfect world, I think it would be awesome to see some sort of 'Player's Handbook', or the equivalent. Not with everything in the Adventurer's Book, but perhaps just the basics for character creation and the various Virtues and Rewards would be awesome.evilgaz wrote:One thing I heard mentioned a couple of times is people looking for things to buy as a player - so looking forward to seeing some action in that direction from C7 in the new year maybe?
A book like that compiling all of the information for each of the cultures (including the newer ones) for about $20 (not sure how much that is in pounds) would be ideal, I think!
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
Re: Dragonmeet, UK (Sat 6th December)
Hopefully the Adventurer's Companion will have some of that kind of stuff.
