New Adventure: The Cup of True Love

I'm glad you like the title suggestion!
Passion is great, too but... for some reason it makes me think of Mel Gibson's movie title and turns the Cup into Holy Grail and that makes my feelings mixed about that.

You could make it a drinking horn chased with gold, which might be thematically appropriate (c.f. House of the Wolfings.)

Well, I officially changed the title to "The Cup of True Love." Thanks so much for that suggestion!

I also changed things slightly in response to zedturtle's advice to have Beranald believe that Cilderic went to the Wolfswood before going to Trader's Island. All I did was modify some text and rearrange the Encounter evaluation rewards when talking with Beranald. The rewards are now parallel with the projected journey path. So, the first real reward is advice about the Wolfswood, then the letter to Widuven, then extra gold if they return the cup. It seems to make more sense that way.

So, I changed the name of the thread to reflect the new name of the adventure as suggested.

Interestingly, I came across another cup in The Darkening of Mirkwood, page 100. I don't think I saw it before (at least I don't remember seeing it!). It could easily be a companion to The Cup of True Love; perhaps it was even crafted by the same hands in the Vales of Anduin.

SPOILER ALERT:

It is called The Cup of Kinship and it is a golden cup with slight magical properties that will affect the Fellowship rating of any company that drinks from it. Very cool!

That's a nice bit of serendipity that should be taken advantage of! ... Perhaps an update to the adventure, James?
