...Aragorn probably saw the Balrog, (Which is why he said I fear for you Gandalf), but he's so amazingly badass he got away.

Probably not, however Aragorn likely knew something really horrible was down in the deep mines. Until the Fellowship of the Ring passed through, only Dain Ironfoot had seen Durin's Bane. Even then, it was Legolas alone that identified him as a Balrog of Morgoth. Naturally (at least to my thinking), it begs the question of whether Legolas Greenleaf really was the same Legolas Gondolin who lead away the survivors when Glorifindel (who WAS the same Glorifindel of Rivendell) died killing a Balrog. While Legolas of Gondolin was said to be a Noldo, I just find it ironic that they both share the same name and apparently have keen-eyesight even better than most Elves (what with Legolas of Mirkwood using Galadhrim longbow to bring down a Ringwraith's Hell-hawk).

More likely, in game terms, Aragorn was invoking the trait Foresight of their Kindred.

This. Had Aragorn previously seen a Balrog, even had he not known what it was I doubt he would have kept the information from the others.

But that leaves us with a great plot hook for an adventure: what did he see/experience that shook him so?
