That's what I thought when I read it; sounds like a really crazy reaction and the kid is hardly the trouble causer that would seem to warrant being suspended 3 times. I think the evidence points at the principal being an idiot. Or having a rather unhealthy vendetta against this particular student.

Yeah, as presented in the article, the school's actions are obviously inexcusable. Fear is no justification - there are real things to be afraid of and worry about in school. It is a principal's part to judge them, in the golden wood, or in his own house.
