This looks amazing, zed! Nice work! 8-)
Adventure Summaries for my long-running group (currently playing through The Darkening of Mirkwood/Mirkwood Campaign), and the Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

This is all digital, right? Have you played around with softening the black & white? Say, dark reddish-brown ink on a sepia background?

P.S. I thought I was envious of your layout skills, but now I'm really envious. Wish I knew how to do this...

No, the first picture that I posted was the hand-drawn bit. Everything else (labels, roads, etc.) is digital.

But now it is in the computer, so anything is possible, I could certainly do a colour version (I'm actually thinking of doing 'watercolour' washes for each of the areas... that would be done digitally.)

I'll play with it, but as mentioned in the various threads, as of about 4.5 hours ago I learned that my free time for a while is going to be smaller than usual.

Eh. You're still a better programmer than me. Everyone's got skillz...

That's a shame to read; these maps would be incredibly useful so hope you can still get them done.

Confession: I keep checking for updates to this thread that show more progress on the map.

No pressure, though...

This too shall pass... Plus I get to play with million dollar plus 3d printers, so it's not all bad (from my point of view).

GE: Don't expect any visual updates for anywhere from 9 to 81 hours from now.

What scale would that be at?

Or maybe the better question is, "How large do you plan on printing the map?"

Nothing silly, 28/30mm should be fine.
