Yep, at the moment the project is on one of my many back-burners... swamped by stuff and wanting to see what Journeys and Maps looks like in equal measure.
For those who are interested, here's a non-TOR map that came out of this practice:
here.

I'm getting ready to run Theft of the Moon again in a couple of weeks, and I went ahead and updated the map that got this started into my latest style, which means that the thread title is now very inaccurate:
I might add a few more locations on... my goal is to have a map useful for my games but with enough landmarks to not make the relevant locations stand out as being the only important things on the map.

My word, Zed, that's beautiful. Stellar work there, really.
Now... Can you let us all have a copy!

Along those lines, I'm surprised that you've left Beorn's House off of that map. The Burning Glade might also be worth adding in.

Oops. Beorn's House being missing was a copy paste error. I'll fix that soon.

Your map truly does look amazing, zed!
Adventure Summaries for my long-running group (currently playing through The Darkening of Mirkwood/Mirkwood Campaign), and the
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

Okay,
here is the latest version.
Open it up in Acrobat, or your favourite full-featured PDF viewing program. Click on the key at the bottom of the map... each time you click on a key symbol, the relevant items will either appear or disappear on the map. That way you can create exactly what you want, and then print it out or show it to your players or whatever.
Let me know if y'all have problems... I've only been able to do limited testing as I just got the programming side of this figured out an hour or two ago.

It looks really good to me. I, though, would include the elements of scale and orientation (showing direction of North).
