Standard adventure formats/time slots at conventions really do limit what you can actually run at them the limited timeframe means adventures have to follow a specific pace and 'beat'; it's great to see some conventions breaking this mould.

Yeah, FWIW we were pretty leisurely as well. Not only that, but with such a big group (ten players, I think), the GM split the middle section up so that we each had a few hour break while he handled the other group (time to go explore the rest of the con). So we all played the first and end segments, but had a big break in-between where we took turns. I don't think we played more than about 6-8 hours each given day (though in the middle the GM had double-duty, so it required a lot out of him).
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
