Guisarme-Voulge.

That's missing, too.

Just sayin'.

I'm extremely proud of the TOR community for how you have all responded to this thread. Thank you for being the reasonable people you are.

Things that are cool here at the C7 forums:
• Having questions about TOR, or any of our games.
• Raising issues you have with the rules as written/asking for explanations to things you don't understand.
• Talking about things you don't like in the rules in order to prompt discussion and compare notes.
• Expressing a preference for one kind of play style over another.
• Disagreeing with prevalent or popular opinions.

Things that are not cool here:
• Directly or indirectly attacking the integrity of the designers of the game, or their work, by presenting assumptions or opinions as facts. We're very strong on this, and it's the only thing that's ever warranted an instant banning. (Advertising kitchens not withstanding)

• Lantern-hanging with passive aggressive questions like "what else is missing?". It's the rhetorical equivalent of "have you stopped beating your wife yet?" and as such is unnecessarily rude. I can't fathom what the outcome was hoped to be here. To prove the award-winning, best selling TOR is actually a bad game? That all its numerous fans are wrong and can't see how bad it is? "I don't like it" is a very different thing to "it is objectively broken".

• Expressing preferences for play style as objective hierarchies.

• Expressing one of many possible, equally valid, design choices as objectively correct. (i.e: If there are no stats for The One Ring then the game is broken. Clearly not: It simply takes a different design path than the one you might favour. Equally there have been 2 prior ME rpgs that offer a more traditional sandbox/PvP supporting style of play. They still work just fine, and we had no desire to replicate them. That is a design choice we're all very committed to, whilst openly acknowledging it is not for everyone. There is simply no need to be rude about it, especially not "in our house".)

• Using our forums solely in a negative manner. We want our forums to be an enjoyable place to come to. We don't see the need to extend hospitality to people who solely come here to find fault or argue. They tend to reduce it's utility to our customers who do enjoy our games, and this forum is run as a service to them. That doesn't mean criticism is prohibited - far from it, we welcome feedback from our customers, and we're well known for responding to it - and so it's much less about what you say than how you say it. As grown ups we are all able to express deeply conflicting view points in a respectful and polite manner.

Since elsewhere (wholly bizarrely given the tone and approach here) SJE has expressed great enjoyment of his TOR experience and delivered a very nice write up of what sounded like a thoroughly enjoyable and successful game of The One Ring, we're happy to be charitable in judging his intent here. I can't figure out what the intent was, or how he got his tone so completely different to how he is in person, or elsewhere online, but there it is.

I did not want to let this thread pass without comment. We don't want to see further threads or comments in a similar vein.

I do wish I was half as cool as Mr Hodgson.

Alas! I have nowhere near enough talent and altogether too much Permanent Shadow.

Just to clarify: talk about your Hobbit's kitchen is totally encouraged! ;)

In that case, I have some excellent countertops to talk to you about, made of the finest stone from Erebor...

Would that be Blue Mountain Marble? Ered Mithrin Granite? Or Orodruin Obsidian (insanely expensive to import)?

I'd suggest GURPS or D&D 5E, personally. I think they did a really bang-up job with 5E's DM book and Monster Manual. I'd love to play a 5E game where the party had to venture into the lair of a Balrog! :D

I earnestly would recommend ´Rolemaster´, there are so many supplements, with Gandalf, Elrond, Fingolfin, etc in numbers and with the ´creatures and treasures´ you´ll find all precious´datas.

the only ´char´ not pictured is Eru, hopefully that´s not a fault that frustrates you too much ;)

For Orodruin Obsidian being offered in the Shire, the manufacturer has indicated that he will accept jewelry (especially golden rings) as payment for the countertops. Limited time offer, however.

“I have only just remembered, sir. It was like this: when I got back to our hole yesterday evening with the key, my dad, he says to me: Hallo, Sam! he says. I thought you were away with Mr. Frodo this morning. There’s been a strange customer asking for Mr. Baggins of Bag End, and he’s only just gone. I’ve sent him on to Bucklebury. Not that I liked the sound of him. He seemed mighty put out, when I told him Mr. Baggins had left his old home for good. Hissed at me, he did. It gave me quite a shudder. What sort of a fellow was he? says I to the Gaffer. I don’t know, says he; but he wasn’t a hobbit. He drove a van and wore overalls, and had a tool belt. I reckon he was some kind of tradesman. He spoke funny.”

To all the originators of all the kitchen ideas (a sample of which are below - and you guys know who you are) i.e...

You guys are just brilliant. You don't know how much I needed some clever humour today. Thanks.
As for the OP:The only thing missing from The One Ring is Sauron's tenth finger if I read 'The Shadow of the Past' correctly.
