So the feverish eleven-months-a-year checking of C7 site continues

Not massive news but I can share this as it comes from Jon's tweets and replies to me so can all be read on his Twitter page for those so inclined - ie, it's already public.

A while back, I tweeted the following three pieces of art which I've bought off Jon.

The first sketch being Saruman. As well as being lovely sketches, seriously Jon's pencil art is awesome - I wish he'd publish more; I love his painted pieces but there's something very powerful about seeing an artist's pencil work on the page rather than the final piece when it has gone through the process of being digitally painted, etc. It's quite raw but you can see all the pencil marks of lines not used within the final image and so on.

Anyway, Jon was asked the question as to whether this was a personal commission or future game content. Here's Jon's reply:
Jon Hodson Tweet wrote: @EJvanMelle @FakeWedge Saruman (the character) appears in Rohan, so you may, in time, recognise the painting of him in that supplement.
So, Saruman's in the Rohan supplement and he'll look like (or very similar) the above image. :)

I also bought a Gandalf pic earlier too:

I'm building up quite a collection! If we ever meet up, perhaps at some kind of TOR convention, then I'll certainly try and bring it along so people can enjoy it too. Like I said earlier in this post, his pencil and preparation work is really nice to look at as you can glean lots of insights into the process he goes through.

Those are awesome! Thanks for sharing them with us, Rich! 8-)
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

Always a pleasure. I have a sketch of Radagast too, the one used in TfW, that Jon sold me along with the player character commissions and a couple of his sketchbooks; which really are a treat to look through. Like I say, if we ever meet up, I'll be certain to bring them along as I'm sure they'd go down well.

Not really sure which is which, but Jon's idea was to make one a bit of a dreamer (the second one in the row of pics I posted) and the other more of a curmudgeon and/or realist (that last picture).
