Yep. John Howe's art was a big selling point in the corebook and his work is a great complement to JonH's IMO.

my dwarf players almost literally exploded when they saw this was coming! found it by accident on miniature market for preorder. already done :D but we want this ASAP. This is the company that made me gladly break my "no buying PDF" rule.

Beautiful! Jon H, is there any chance we could see your version of the cover? Please?

So is the description on miniature market true? Is the book really going to have Grey Mountain and Iron Hills dwarves as playable cultures and rules for custom dragons.

Interesting. That description does sound like a Cubicle 7 one and the new playable cultures are plausible. Probably an official description that maybe leaked a bit early. The idea with custom dragons is cool; if it's not correct C7 should implement it anyway!

Really looking forward to Iron Hills content - always wanted to do something with it but never really had the right idea for an angle.

Well, the two setting expansions we have already beyond Wilderland include two cultures each (ie, Rangers/Rivendell Elves and Rohirrim/Dunlending) so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to guess that this will include the same setup and then take a stab at what the two cultures could be so the description may not have come from C7 as posters here could easily come up with the same; it doesn't take too much of a leap to get there.

Certainly possible, in the same way that Rivendell had additional rules for enhancing Adversaries.

Hey folks,

Has there been any chat about the release date for The Lonely Mountain? I read through the comments like a spoiled child, but I didn't see anything. At lease one of the players in my group is going to be a Dwarf of Erebor and I'm guessing the Fellowship Phase/Year End options will be pretty exciting :)

I am most excited for this book because I still feel focused on the Wilderland. Hope it will be out soon!
Of Finarfin's children I am the last. But my heart is still proud. What wrong did the golden house of Finarfin do that I should ask the pardon of the Valar, or be content with an isle in the sea whose native land was Aman the Blessed? Here I am mightier.

You haven't missed an announcement.

We pretty much never announce a specific release date - as soon as we're able we make the PDF version available along with pre-orders. Erebor is progressing very nicely however, and there's been no change to the "coming soon" indicators.
