In case I didn't say it before (I sure thought it) thanks so much for doing this... sounds like you started and rode the bug of working on it all the way to the finish line. Congrats!

I ask this because of the link to the Men of Dorwinion. Are the any official/unofficial names of cities, towns or villages in Dorwinion?

You have this on the Wiki which isn't much use: http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Dorwinion

I've had a look through some old MERP supplements, at maps and the like, and in summary there's the following:

Perils of the Sea of Rhun
In that module there's this map:

Image

The locations marked on that map within the Dorwinion area are:

A - Shrel Kain (Dorwininion capital and largest port on the Sea of Rhun)
B - Riavod (town)
C - Scari (town)
I - Ilanin (town on way to Dorwinion)
J - Buhr Mahrling (town on way to Dorwinion)
4 - Minas Falath (semi-ruined tower and presented in the module as an adventure site)

... Which could be useful.

This book appears to be set around TA 1000 from what I can tell (I really wish ICE would have been consistent in clearly labelling up the periods their supplements and adventures covered) so it may be that the above are no longer relevant in the time that TOR is set.

River Running
I only just picked up this adventure but it appears to have lots of information in and around Dorwinion which is too difficult to summarise. Glancing through it, I can't immediately see a date/period for this book so have no idea, as yet, how much could be used for TOR!

... Those are the two books that immediately spring to mind. I'm sure the Mirkwood books will have information on Dorwinion and the other areas around the Sea of Rhun but I don't have my copy immediately to hand.

... Just a head's up but I've made some changes to the Additional Rules pdf - general clean up and a one page section on combat options that have been discussed here recently.

...Why is the Greatsword a reward?

It doesn't offer any mechanical advantage over its peers, the great spear and the great axe. It just neatly fills the slot between them like one would expect it to do, with the same damage rating, Edge of 10, between Spear 9 and Axe G, and Wound 18, between Axe 20 and Spear 16.

One would think a reward would do better then just fill an empty slot.

Non-mechanical, thematic, reasons. I wanted to limit their proliferation in Wilderland. As the scope of the game widens, I'd remove the 'Reward Only' limitation [from the Greatsword] but my campaign is currently in Wilderland, so...

Hello,

what about the "Goblin Warrior" in the "New Adversaries" Section? Isn`t there the "craven" trait missing ?
