Darkening of Mirkwood--will it be reprinted?

Post by Oregon » Sun Jul 10, 2016 6:12 am

Greetings all!

I participate in zedturtle's Beornsvager pbp game over at rpg.net and thought it was time I join the C7 forums as well.

So, I'll start with a question: Are there any plans for reprinting Darkening of Mirkwood? Alternatively, does anyone have a brand new copy they would sell me at the original retail price? I could buy it over on Amazon, for somewhere between $100 and $500. But that isn't going to happen. Yes, I know I can get it in pdf format, and I am going to do so. But I'm old school and much prefer an actual book in my hands when at home and not traveling.

Thanks!
Thank You,

IANAC7E, bu I would predict yes. They seem to do reprints when they run out of hard copies. Not instant gratification, but look how long the Dunedain bided their time.

Will they incorporate updates and errata the way they did with Tales From Wilderland?

+1 on this topic.

I was about to ask the exact same questions when I saw this post. I could get my hands on a new copy at list price but I wanted to know if it was going to be reprinted with erratas and how soon?

What errata are y'all thinking of? (by no means claiming that there are no errors, just that none are leaping out at me.)

Only thing I can think of are the favoured traits of the Wood Wight.

I wouldn't know as I don't own the book yet :)
But I don't know about you but I've never seen a book without errors and that's especially true about a game book.

And there's been the release of the revised edition since DoM first came out. Don't know if that causes some things to change or not.

To the seven things the ancients deemed impossible, let us add another, to produce a book without errata.
:)

Again, was never trying to say that there weren't errors, just wondering what people had found.

No problem :)

If everybody who owns it think the book is mostly error free, might as well get it now.

I emailed C7 about it and the answer was that yes it would be reprinted but not for several months.
