[Thursday Fun] Yorkshire - We're Proper Great We Are
Re: [Thursday Fun] Yorkshire - We're Proper Great We Are
A good friend of mine lived in Harrogate for a number of years. I've since shook his hand; how great am I? (show your work, no calculators allowed.)

I have been brushing up on my British history over the last year and find this sort of thing pretty interesting. I have a nice Anglo-Saxon surname, Weatherford. It seams that this originated somewhere in Cambrideshire although when or how my ancestors decided to move to North America, I have never been able to piece together. I'm fairly certain any Anglo-Saxon awesomeness has been greatly diluted at this point, however.

That's pretty cool. It's amazing how people interrelate; even when thousands of miles apart.Wbweather wrote:I have been brushing up on my British history over the last year and find this sort of thing pretty interesting.
