Thanking you for clarifying what should be considered 'official'.

Now if we could only bribe you to weigh in on Traits in the One-Hit Kills discussion. :)
Don't start arguments over who has a better grasp of hiking and boating or someone might just bring down the banhammer.

I have. Adopted this "house rule" for my game as it makes sense to me. Not that fighting a Troll will ever be easy.

Hate to muddy this discussion further, but in an earlier thread on Protection tests I recall Francesco stating that Weary doesn't apply to Protection tests

Page 133, A woodsmans doggy makes all sized creatures weary. Seems silly but that's what its says.

I'd really like someone to 'source' that as I haven't and it's an extremely important point - something that would affect/aid PCs far more than their opponents. I've played with the idea myself, meandering between the two options (wearied does/doesn't apply to protection tests) and always stayed with applying it. I've *never* seen Francesco to suggest otherwise so I'm extremely interested to see if he has at any point.

From the old forum.
QUOTE (Osric @ Aug 28 2011, 04:13 PM)
Protection isn't just armour, as you can spend Hope to add your Body attribute bonus to the Protection roll.
I'd usually(?) interpret this as using the agility component of your Body for a 'semi-dodge': not moving enough to avoid the blow, but enough to take it on -- or deflect it off -- a properly-armoured portion of your body, or keeping any chinks in your armour out of harm's way.UNQUOTE

Protection rolls ARE affected by weariness, exactly for the reasons listed by Osric.

Thanks HS, I didn't recall Francesco actually stating that so clearly, so that really helps, and clarifies that he has never said the opposite. Cheers.

If he ever did say any different, Rich, I've not kept it in my folder of Official Rulings which I trot out when the questions are asked.
