"Obi-wan Kenobi, you're my only hope"

*You may substitute the name "Obi-wan Kenobi" for any hobbitish name.

Weirdly, I did use that line in my hobbits-only Three's Company campaign. One of the PCs received a letter from their sister, now married and living in Bree, and it finished off with:

"Ferdibrand Brandybuck, you're my only hope!"

So, yep, it does work.

"Aren't you a little short for an orc?"

(Whips off Helm, "Ferdinand Brandybuck, at your service!")

Lady Irimë: "I'd just as soon kiss a dwarf!"
Legolas: "I can arrange that."

And that's when the elven escort of Lady Irimë finds an adventuring group at the edge of Mirkwood and asks them to travel with the noldorin lady, thus beginning Those Who Tarry No Longer.
