Fantastic as always and thanks for posting!
Thank you and you're welcome. Can't actually believe we managed to finish it what with all the upheaval/real life issues I've had to deal with!

Yes, amazingly fun to read, as always!

The poem your player took the time to do was brilliant as well.
Glad you liked it!

And I think it would be best to go with the second option as well, waiting for the next arc in the campaign.
I'm in agreement. I think retiring the character now when he'd just reached the position he has would be a bit of a crappy thing to do. I reckon in the next 3 to 5 years would be the optimum point.

So when Grimbold fell I was like "NOOOO!!!" That was a great idea to use a former PC as the body the Gibbet King possessed; I'm sure that made it all the more personal for the PCs!
Just as an additional piece of information, when I converted Grimbold to a LMC after the player left the group, this is what I came up with:

Interesting how some things needed to be dropped or changed but the mechanical core of the character still shone through - ie, a rock hard warrior with some interesting supporting elements.

And here's a pdf link which combines all the AP and FP posts sans LM Notes:

26 pages! I don't half blabber! I'm not one for fanfic, which I think this often reads like, but it's going to be a good reference for the players if*/when we start up again. Hope others have enjoyed/found it useful too!

I just read through this, Rich! This is great! What a wonderful campaign. I'm gearing up to start a new campaign (just made some old grognards at a wargaming club into TOR fans) so I might steal some of these ideas!

Had some messages to post character sheets up of the PCs so thought I'd share. Bear in mind that these have house rules directly on them and also baked into some of the numbers so will look somewhat different to RAW sheets...

First off Brand:
Very high Standing in his own culture due to recent deeds. Brand is effectively high nobility within Dale, from a family who have supported Bard's claim to the throne. The second sheet also gives you a sneak at the Holding house rules I use and also the Patron benefits within my campaign.

Lastly, Iwgar:
Hilvar's Flute could well play an important part in the potential redemption of Mansbane, should the Fellowship decide to pursue that plotline.

Those are some nice looking character sheets. I like the layout and the additions too (I am not familiar with the house rules parts though). Did you make it yourself or has someone posted it on here? And if the first, what did you use to make it?

Thanks. I put it together using Foxit PDF editor but not from scratch; I think I used the official sheet as a starting point and edited it to give me what I wanted. All the house rules are in documents I've linked in this thread and in the thread link in my signature.
