I recently convinced my FLGS to sign up for bits and mortar....so I did go ahead and pre-order through them. Very excited to see the new maps!

Ordered! :-) I prefer more setting material over rules. In my opinion we have plenty of rules already. Not that I am against new rules if they fit the theme strongly and is not covered already. But in general I think that new rules should be limited to small snippets and the main focus be on the setting material.

This will hopefully be timely for me.
I'm running Ruins of the North for my group right now, and they've expressed interest in exploring more of the Eriador, Bree, etc. regions.
I guess I should stall them a bit more near Rivendell and keep them from travelling west until next month :)

If your group does insist on traveling west of Bree before you are ready then I invite you to use and adapt my materials from the House Rules forum on the Shire and lands beyond. When the Bree pdf becomes available I will update my notes on Bree and Bree-land as needed.

This makes me think it's time to dust off my conversion of "Dawn Comes Early" from the old Lord of the Rings Adventure Game.

If the other books for TOR are available as stand-alone PDFs then I expect it will also be true of Bree.
