Bree pre-order opening today (Edit - now open!)

Post by Jon Hodgson » Tue May 16, 2017 2:04 pm

Hello!
I just wanted to drop a quick heads up to our forum faithful that Bree pre-orders will open today.

Now, as we've been doing recently we're going to collect pre-orders into June, and then send out the free PDFs.

We do this because:

• We're a small company, and our Middle-earth releases have gained such momentum that handling a simultaneous send out of free PDFs a few weeks after pre-orders open works much better for everyone - there's no queue on send out day, and you don't have to chase up when your pdf will be sent.

• It allows us to gauge print numbers more accurately so that we can keep games in stock longer.

• You can take your time making your pre-order and still get your PDF on release. Don't do that though, order it now! :)

Bree for The One Ring Roleplaying Game is now available for pre-order!

All pre-orders come with a free PDF, which is anticipated to be released in June. The print version is anticipated in August.

About Bree:

Nestled at the foot of the ancient landmark of the Bree-hill, Bree and The Prancing Pony provide a welcome respite from the trials of the road. With a wisdom all of its own, Bree has endured for centuries, minding its own business and serving passing travellers with good food and better beer.

Surrounded by deserted and dangerous lands, and watched over by the mysterious Rangers of the North, Bree is an ideal place to break a journey, or to begin a new one!

Bree includes:
• Details of the Bree-land, including Bree itself, Archet, Combe and Staddle.
• Things to do in Bree and new Bree undertaking

• A full playable culture: The Men of Bree
• Three exciting new adventures: Old Bones and Skin, Strange Men and Strange Roads, Holed up in Staddle.

Preordered! Looks great. Wasn't listed but I'm assuming 112 pgs (like Erebor)?
Especially excited about the 3 new adventures. Guessing that first one "Old Bones and Skin" has to do with the barrow downs? ;)

Will be very useful to my group, we're currently running through Ruins of the North, but due to the fact that many players picked Men of Bree or Hobbits of Bree we're settled in Bree between adventures instead of Rivendell.

I will doubtless pre-order Bree on or after my next pay day. The scope of the book is more modest than I had been hoping for, but I didn't really expect very much on surrounding regions of western Eriador. I already suspected that the Shire (along with the Blue Mountains and/or Grey Havens) might be covered separately.
