Big Maps

Post by Grey Seer » Tue May 23, 2017 12:26 pm

Well, I love the maps put out by TOR. I have the Journeys supplement, but I want them bigger! However, I'm running into a problem getting that done. I want a large map for my players to use/write on but I'm running into issues finding a shop that will print it out for me due to copyright. Has anyone else run into this issue and maybe found a solution?

I printed it on A4 sheets and then stuck them together. I also aged it; tea stains, crumpled it up, etc so this worked for my purposes and allows the players to make notes on it.

How did you get them together? Tape? I would love to see a picture of what you did to see if I might be interested in doing the same!

I'm sure you brought the map to an expert team of professionals to do that:
unfolded it on the table during a play-night, bought lots of beverages and snacks for everyone, and let time do its job ;).

Just glue. If you print them out with a little overlap then you can glue the bits that are repeated as you'll be covering them with another printed element. Once you've aged and crumpled up when it's stuck together it helps hide the joins.

Or find someone with a large format printer. That's what I did.

OP has said he's having issues getting others to print it for him due to copyright so this may not be an option.

I have a friend who had a large format printer at his house.

Doesn't do the OP much good, does it? Unless you're volunteering your friend to print it for him.
