Like so, Evil Shelf 1:

Nice Necromancer in the back Rich!
Of Finarfin's children I am the last. But my heart is still proud. What wrong did the golden house of Finarfin do that I should ask the pardon of the Valar, or be content with an isle in the sea whose native land was Aman the Blessed? Here I am mightier.

That was a particularly tricky miniature to do. I bought it second hand and the paint job was chipped all over. I thought about just stripping it off completely but decided to have a go at repairing/repainting the bits that were damaged. I'm glad I did as the results come out really well; when I look at the figure now, I can't spot the bits I did.

Anyone know of a good place to get the GW miniatures at a decent price? I'm gonna start collecting some and making some terrain for my son and a few friends to play a game on.

Just shop around. You can still get bargains on eBay for the standard troops. Also the Games Workshop site still has figures for sale. Unfortunately, as they get rarer then they will get more expensive. You can quite easily source other miniatures that fit the bill; don't be limited to purely GW stuff.

G'day all, I haven't posted for such a long time in this thread. I thought you might like the idea of this fellow as an npc?

He used to look like this:

out of curiosity, what aspects of the game do you use your mini's for? DO you always have them out in play? If so, what does combat and exploring look like? If not, what do you use them for?

Look at first and second pages of this thread; you'll get an idea there.

Wanted to link these pics here too, in the main miniatures thread, so they don't get lost.

Behold, Raenar! Scourge of the North!
