First lot of Rohirrim figures are done; three Royal Guard:
Hopefully will get other Rohirrim miniatures finished off tomorrow!

Wow, the pictures you guys put on here are truly amazing. You inspire me to want to get in there and paint.

Maybe put a flashlight really close to the mini and cast 'wings of shadow' on the wall...

Butterfingers' regular posts do that for me so I also try to do the same and post when I can. Get painting though, I find it really relaxing, even if it does take hours for each figure as I'm so slow!

Serious question here... What colour do you all prefer the rim of the bases to be painted? I used to paint them black but now do them brown. I'm not sure which I prefer the most but want to be consistent. I'm sorta leaning towards brown (which would mean me repainting lots of bases so they all match) as it compliments the grass/soil/etc base detail but I was wondering if there were strong opinions either way. Thoughts?
