Miniatures for TOR
Re: Miniatures for TOR
Really nice minis, all!
For those of us taking a cheaper approach, has anyone ever used paper minis or know of a good source for LOTR/generic fantasy ones? Seems like the option for me, as I just want something decent to put on a battle map to represent stances.

For Roll20 I use circular tokens I've made from the headshots of creatures and people in the art in the books. Works very well.

Do you have image files for those anywhere? Might be nice to just print those out on card stock.Heilemann wrote:For Roll20 I use circular tokens I've made from the headshots of creatures and people in the art in the books. Works very well.

Re: Miniatures for TOR
There's several companies making paper minis and selling them through DriveThruRPG/RPGNow. I haven't bought any that would really be useful for TOR, unfortunately, so can't make recommendations. My collection of minis includes a lot of "dark ages" minis that work well for humans with enough elves and dwarves to cover the PCs. Steve Jackson Games used to do some nice paper minis (Cardboard Heroes? I think that was the name), and I assume still have them available through their web store.shipwreck wrote:Really nice minis, all!

Re: Miniatures for TOR
The Cardboard Heroes series is now available only in digital format. Some sets haven't made the transition and are out of print.Bluenose wrote:Steve Jackson Games used to do some nice paper minis (Cardboard Heroes?
