Shadows of Mordor (video game)
Shadows of Mordor (video game)
This may or may not be of interest to anyone here. The time period however is congruent to The One Ring RPG.

Re: Shadows of Mordor (video game)
The game takes place between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings, as written by J.R.R. Tolkien. The family of ranger Talion is killed by Sauron's armies, and he himself is also killed, but soon revived with "wraith-like abilities" and heads to Mordor to exact his revenge. Mordor is not yet a barren wasteland in this story.

And I thought that my player's idea of domesticating and breeding wargs as mounts was bad.

I play quite a lot of video games, and I can honestly say I have no idea what an 'action role-playing video game' is

It's how you talk to the screen describing how you're going to attack and then press the X button.Beleg wrote:I play quite a lot of video games, and I can honestly say I have no idea what an 'action role-playing video game' is

You know, considering it's being released on Xbox One, it wouldn't surprise me if you have to talk the game through the entirety of your character's actions using the kinect. It'd probably beep at you if you tried to use a controllerIt's how you talk to the screen describing how you're going to attack and then press the X button.

I would guess that it means you kill lots of things, and you get to pick a name for your character. Isn't that about what "RPG" means in the video game world?Beleg wrote:I play quite a lot of video games, and I can honestly say I have no idea what an 'action role-playing video game' is

Well it looks like our character already has his name picked for us. And it depends. In some games you just kill stuff, in others (skyrim springs to mind) you can adopt children, buy/build houses, become a chef (sorta). Oh, and loot things from everywhere like a kleptomaniacI would guess that it means you kill lots of things, and you get to pick a name for your character. Maybe TOR needs rules for looting random crates and barrels that you find everywhere you go. (KIDDING)Beleg wrote:Well it looks like our character already has his name picked for us. And it depends.
