I just saw this on the website
Cubicle 7 Website wrote:Laughter of Dragons is a set of adventures set around Dale and the Lonely Mountain, making use of the setting material provided in Erebor. It is due for release in 2017.
I'm quite excited.
Cheers,

So am I.
A set of adventures that expand the adventures to Dale and Erebor, and maybe also Lake-town, is all that was needed to turn Wilderland in a world of adventure in itself.
I'm just hoping that they're connected in some way, not all stand-alone one-shot adventures.

Yes, this is also very interesting!
My guess is that these adventures are not a great hunt for a dragon, but rather adventures set in Dale and under Erebor. Perhaps a sinister cult in the poor quarter of Dale is called the dragons...

Augh, cults sounds ominously like WFRP.... I am hoping the laughter really refers to the curse of the dragon hoard, and how it will slowly corrupt and ruin Erebor, Dale & Esgaroth... making Smaug (and dragons in general) have the last laugh in the end?

"Then Smaug really did laugh-a devastating sound which shook Bilbo to the floor, while far up in the tunnel the dwarves huddled together and imagined that the hobbit had come to a sudden and a nasty end."

Given that
The Laughter of Dragons is intended to accompany the Erebor book, which details a place a dragon used to live and has rules for making your own dragons, I'd be astonished if actual dragons weren't involved in some way.

It's an area-effect weapon, with unbalancing and demoralizing effect, then.
Thanks for the help, T.S.!

It's actually been misreported all along. The book is really called the Laughter of Dragoons and is about an invading force of mercurial mounted infantry which will make all you historical-types blanch in anguish.
