You did an amazing job on HoF. Heck, I even contributed once or twice myself.

That said, however, I hope that your workload doesn't overwhelm you, though dropping it back to quarterly may help.

In addition, we (fans) don't want to miss the boat with all of the other options, such as OM, etc. Just some thoughts.

It's a double-edged sword, Mim.

I want to make it quarterly, so as not to put pressure on those that will work on the zine, but I want to make sure the webzine has the momentum that the previous iteration achieved. Too much time between issues and you struggle to create a solid fan-base.

We'll see what can be done.

I just talked to Matt (GandalfofBorg) and he is glad to see the webzine start back up, but he does not know enough about TOR mechanics to be a regular contributor. He plays in my current TOR campaign, but CODA mechanics was the system that he immersed himself in to.

Okay...the new webzine will have a target release date of the last week in September and at the end of each subsequent quarter thereafter.

I'd be willing to contribute something. At the very least I could update and revise the article I did on bows to TOR and AiME rules.

It's nice to see a post from some of the old TrekRPG crowd.

As stated before, the only request is that they are complete in detail. If you have any pictures you want in the article, please include those as well.

Great News!

I have all the Hall of Fire issues and have used a number of them already for TOR stuff, in particular I converted the magic system from CODA to TOR as I thought the magic system was the best thing about CODA. Feel free to check out the Magic system I have written for TOR (see link in my sig for all my resources), and I would be happy to comment/proofread stuff as well, especially anything on magic, the South (Mordor, Harad etc.) or the Fourth Age (as these are my areas of expertise).

Currently I am rewriting the chapter on Magic from the Loremaster's Guide for AiME (using my Magic for TOR as a guide), happy to show you what I have written for this as well!

Hall of Fire I never got into, as I wasn't into the supported game.

That said, the D-Trek fanzine was a wonderful resource. One of the few fanzines worth the download time. I would look forward to a new version with the same production values...

It's really going to depend on the creative controls put in place over submissions. I could easily see a fanzine that puts the game first and, by inference, is happy to allow a little more flexibility when it comes to M-e lore occupying a very useful space for the gaming community.

IIRC there has been no outright rejection of an original submission for OM (submissions are not that numerous to actually decline stuff). There were one or two proposals that would have been simple reprints of stuff freely available elsewhere on the web and thus not considered - and one that was not even of a draft stage (and not followed up by the author).

So in a nutshell, for OM it's the same as for every fanzine: Only things submitted can be published and thus the mix of content depends heavily on what is submitted/proposed. By now, everyone who had an idea and manuscript/draft to begin with and worked on his article to make it ready for publishing, had his piece in OM. So, for OM, the published stuff is a good reflection of what comes in as submissions.
