Soon finishing my thirtieth year as a roleplayer (...), I've seen a lot of games, and three from Tolkien's work and world. Yours is the best, by far. It was a long time since I was so fully entranced by a Company's products.
Thank you for the good work ! Please continue to amaze us with the extraodrinary quality of your TOR line : clear and beautiful texts, excellent equilibrium between fluff and crunch, wonderful art... and a Tolkien flavour so difficult to find and nurture. In TOR, it is there to discover, page after page.
The Darkening of Mirkwood is a masterwork, truly ! I can't wait to finish the current campaign and begin anew the timeline.
Hourra for Cubicle, and for Nepitello !
Great, great game !
Re: Great, great game !
Welcome to TOR and the forum!
I love the game too, as do many here. It's not without its faults (what RPG isn't?) but unlike many other RPGs it has many many awesome and inspiring elements that truly make it a great game. It's also incredibly 'tweakable' so bespoke alterations can easily be made to it for your particular gaming style and group.
Personally, I love it. The guys like Francesco, Jon, and Dom are all great too which is a bonus!

Hi Rich,
Thanks for your answer, and many thanks for the ressources you made available. You did a great job, for sure. I'll use your guide for traits, one of the most remarquable features of the rules, IMHO.

Re: Great, great game !
Firingole, I want to join Rich in welcoming you to TOR and the community of players here. I too, have been roleplaying for 30+ years. I would venture to guess that many on this forum are seasoned gamers. We know a good game when we see one!!! We've been around the block and have seen many games
I could go on forever telling you about my love for TOR, but what I really want to point out at the moment is my appreciation for this forum and the people who post here. We have a wide diversity of players who are respectful and thoughtful of others and the topics. Very seldom does someone post rudely here, which feels so nice. There's a ton of creativity and interesting suggestions. There's debate and humor. Many are also real Tolkien Loremasters, who are well read and ready to share their knowledge with the rest of us. Stick around, you'll see what I'm talking about in no time.
