Now the characters will fear my Woodwights! (I hope)

Great content. None the worse for the lack of any artwork; I actually like it like that to be honest.

I agree, great content with a nice balance in the material. Hopefully the art issue was a temporary setback and the magazine will thrive from now on.

It would have been more appropriate if the credit had been stated as written by tomcat based on material by James. I wrote an idea that I posted in the Houserules forum on Fear, and tomcat asked me for permission to use it and add his own thoughts. I hadn't seen what he came up with until I saw the webzine. So, he deserves more credit than I, but thank you anyway!

It was a good collaboration! :D

I will be using the rules in my games, now, too.

I just updated the file for those that are interested.

I found some paragraphs that needed to be removed, as they stated rules verbatim from the core rules. I also forgot to add the Undead Stamina trait to the Mewlips.

I knew my last article was going to have some missed items! It was the only one that didn't get a proof-readers eyes put on it.

I wanted to say thank you to you all for your kind words!

I want to say thanks to Jon for helping us get it right, so as not to conflict with anyone. I do have a query in right now to see if we can at least use a page background. We'll see how things turn out.

I appreciate the advice and guidance of the other editors out there, who have their own publication, on working with material and property rights.

Lastly, I will say that based on the comments, we will continue. Please start thinking about something you'd like to see in the next issue. I already have two more mini-adventures submitted for use, but we can use a whole lot more. If you have some house rules, fan flavour, new cultures, etc. that you would like to send us, please do!

Understand that your submissions might not be in the immediate next issue, but we will work them in as they are submitted. We will also contact you to let you know, and if there are any details to work out. I do not want to make any mistakes with imagery again, so if you send images for your article, please let us know that you have consent and how we can contact those artists.

The next issue will release at the end of December, so please have any submissions in by the last week of November, if you want to try and make that issue.

Some companies don't like fans to copy their trade dress in fan publications, because it can possibly make someone think the fan publication is by them (regardless of how well they point out it's not by the company). Your best bet is not to try to copy the trade dress of The One Ring, but to establish a style of your own using public-domain or personally produced art, or art which the artist has given you permission to use.

I saw the updated version and thought it was pretty darn good. I'm glad it that it will continue. Keep up the good work!

The section on the Noldor is very good, but I'm a little confused as I thought that the High Elves of Rivendell filled that spot.

The background is well set out and is excellent for those who have not the time nor inclination to research the differences between the different Elf kindreds and I guess that these might make a nice alternative to the official ones.

Flame of the West is a very nice Cultural Blessing and would make an excellent alternative Cultural Virtue to add to the official ones.

A few questions for the author though.

I note that your Noldor have the standard stat array of 14 rather than the 17 of the official High Elves. Was this piece written before the release of the Rivendell book?

Likewise, you have opted to give your Noldor one less Weapon Skill than the High Elves of Rivendell. Was this too a conscious choice?

Finally, the Skill points total adds to 30 instead of the standard 29.

These are minor itches to be scratched though in what is a very nice piece.

Well done that man!
