Published adventures in chronological order?
Re: Published adventures in chronological order?
I never once said a thing about PDF only adventures. It's me understanding that only physical things can be handed out at a con. And like was said, the GenCon collection was a physical product.
So, nothing you've said, Hermes, has advanced this sidebar discussion in any way due to your incorrect assumptions made on the basis of absolutely nothing. I remain frustrated that I can't buy a physical product.
However, I am glad to know of their existence in this chart. Who knows what the future holds? Thanks again for the work!

Re: Published adventures in chronological order?
I still have a hope that a physical copy of the official C7 con adventures will one day be available.
Thanks for the kind words guys. Remember, the above is a suggested play, just me trying to get my head round fitting adventures in. I tried to work on the principal of two (full) adventures per year. I liked the idea of the 10th Anniversary of the Battle of Five Armies being the one linked with the Crossing of Celduin and what happens at that event in the adventure. It also means just as the heroes complete the grim tale of the Watch on the Heath, the Darkening of Mirkwood is starting to unfold, a dark foreshadowing...

Re: Published adventures in chronological order?
My understanding is that several adventures have been written for/by C7 to be used by GM's for boosting their presence at various cons. Indeed I played in one only last weekend. That said these being only available as pdf are not allowed by M-eE to be distributed/sold to the general public under the licence terms.
I believe that the Gencon Collection was to be a pdf of those adventures and fell foul of those licence terms. The only way you are likely to see them is if C7 provide individual copies to a GM for running at a convention and you are that GM.
Putting them into a list is teasing those folks who are completist or that cannot even attend conventions on the other side of the world.

I am one of those people who can't attend the cons on the other side of the world Hermes (I'm UK based )
Edit: And they aren't in the main list, I put them in a separate post for a reason - ie we might never get to see them. I just like to remind C7 every so often.
Also - none of those adventures are now available at all, so if they were printed I don't see how they would be involved in a no-pdf-only issue. It would be printed, not as a pdf online.

Just wanted to chime in and say thankssoverymuch for putting this together timb. It's something we'd all pretty much have to do ourselves so you've saved everyone loads of time doing this; really great stuff.

Is "Watch on Dol Guldur" called something else? I don't see it in Words of the Wise.timb wrote:I think you are remembering the thread I did (there were about two threads iirc).
I am working on an new version of this, using the material from Heart of the Wild/Darkening of Mirkwood books, but for now here's the one I posted quite a while back...
Edit: These new forums don't allow the full size image, so I'll sort that asap.

Re: Published adventures in chronological order?
It's mentioned in passing, there is no actual Watch scenario. It's just what is happening at the time.

Re: Published adventures in chronological order?
Sorry Trotter, it wasn't clear on that chart what I meant about the "Watch on Dol Guldur" - in "Words of the Wise" it mentions in the opening section that players could meet as part of a group tasked with watching some weird goings on at Dol Guldur. They were to have met at a Gathering of the Five Armies and go from there. There was a little more text but it's not a published adventure like the rest, just a plot point that could be used as an introductory adventure.Trotter wrote:Is "Watch on Dol Guldur" called something else?
